The heat hits right after the fizz, and that lime keeps it from being too sharp. I can actually taste real ginger, not syrup, and knowing there's no sugar in it makes it work for a weekday afternoon pick-me-up.
The lime comes through just enough to cool the burn before the ginger kicks back in—really well balanced. I’ve tried plenty of “fiery” ginger beers and this one actually follows through without any of that fake sweetness. Glad it’s got no added sugar, because it doesn’t need it.
That first sip hits with a real burn, but the lime comes through just enough to keep it refreshing. I love that there's no sugar or sweeteners, yet it still tastes full-bodied and not thin like some diet sodas. The 330ml can is perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up.
